If you follow us on Instagram (you totally should), you may have seen my post last week about my little shopping haul at my local Walgreens drugstore that’s closing. All the makeup is 50% off! (I ended up going back and getting more makeup.)
For the past few months, I’ve really been trying to cut down on my makeup addiction. I canceled my Ipsy subscription and I haven’t been shopping for makeup unless I need it. As in, I use it every day and buy more when I’m out.
So when I saw that all of the Walgreens makeup was 50% off, I was at a loss. Part of me thought – you don’t need it, don’t buy it. Another part of me thought – I’m going traveling soon and I won’t have a lot of money. I have the money now, I’ll need this makeup eventually when I run out, so why not get it while it’s super cheap??

Of course, the latter thought process won out and I ended up spending about $25. I will admit, they’re not all products I’m currently using. Some of them are products I’ve used in the past and now I’ll use them again since they were so cheap. And some are products that I’ve been wanting to try but in light of recent habit changes and not wanting to spend the money, I never tried them. Until now.
So I am very excited to show you my Drugstore Makeup Haul:
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear – Rock My Way & With the Beet – I’ve used this brand in the past and they’re great, but I don’t usually spend more than $1 on nail polish because I change my mind way too much.
Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Face Primer – I have used this is the past; I think it’s older because they don’t even have it on the Wet n’ Wild website.
Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Natural Finish Setting Spray – I’ve never tried this setting spray but I’m hopeful about it!

Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Pressed Powder – Neutral Beige – I think I got this in the wrong shade but I’m still interested to try it.
Wet n’ Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder – Blossom Glow – I’ve been wanting to try this for a while now and I already really like it after about a week of using it.
Wet n’ Wild Velvet Matte Lip Color – Looking for Truffle – I’d never seen anything about this or cared to try it in the past, but when I saw the color and the price (roughly $2), I had to buy it!
MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick – Berry Recognize, Nudist Peach, and Rebel Rose –
I have been wanting to try these forever! They’re normally $4.99 which is actually a great price for this product but I just didn’t want to buy another lipstick, especially because I always buy the same colors. But they were $2.50. I couldn’t pass that up. So I bought 2 and my sister bought one that she ended up giving to me.
In the week I have been using these lipsticks I have to say that I am madly in love with them. They’re probably one of the very best liquid lipsticks I’ve ever tried and they’re so cheap! I am so excited about them. If you were like me and on the fence about trying them, do it. You won’t regret it.
Ardell Professional Magnetic Lashes – Double 110
I am so excited to try these lashes! I have been wanting to try magnetic lashes since I heard about them. And they’re cruelty-free which makes my heart so happy. They are normally about $13 but I bought these for $4.50!

I may have gone a bit overboard on the lipsticks but the good news is that I love them all so I will definitely use them. I’ll use all of this stuff and that’s a good enough reason for me.
Have you bought anything lately that you were excited to finally try? Or bought anything lately? This was the first time in a long while I’ve shopped for myself and not for our van so I’ve been living vicariously through the internet. Tell me in the comments below!

Honestly, some of my favourite products come from the drug store! I alternate between my MAC foundation, and a CoverGirl one I use most often, from Shoppers Drug Mart! 🙂

I’m obsessed with makeup, so it’s nice when you find a product that doesn’t break the bank. I’ve never heard of the Mega Last lipstick, I’m going to have to try those!
I can see why that decision was tough – 50% off is such a great deal on anything!
I love the lipsticks!
Sad that your local Walgreens was closing but look at all the makeup goodies you got for half off! I love wet n wild’s lipstick line but have yet to try their foundation/powder/primer products… Is it good?
I’m totally a sucker for big sales, and would have splurged on those glosses too!
