Registering for baby gifts is one of the most exciting and highly anticipated stages of pregnancy for most expectant parents. Most can’t wait to send the barcode scanner into overdrive scanning anything and everything from diapers and bibs to car seats and strollers.
I was sick most of my pregnancy so no supermarket sweeping the baby aisles for me. I registered the boring way…online at Target.com and Amazon.com.
I did, however, end up really enjoying registering this way because it allowed me to read A LOT of product reviews prior to just scanning away uncontrollably. Amazon.com has endless reviews about all the products they sell. You can read all about an item as small as a pacifier or an item as big as a crib. I found these reviews to be very helpful when it came time to make the tough decisions on which larger ticket items to register for.
High tickets items are always a popular registry gift because it takes some of the burdens off mom and dad. Throughout my research, and reading what felt like thousands of reviews, I came up with a list of some of the coolest Must-Have Baby Gear Items on the market. Some are pricey, but remember, it’s a gift so why not put it on the registry. Maybe you’ll get them all!
5 Must-Have Baby Gear Items
4 Moms has got this baby thing down pat. They have mastered the idea that moms across the universe will buy anything for their baby if it makes their life easier! The ingenious and unique design of the mamaRoo infant swing has a community of moms in an uproar for this highly sought after item. With 5 motions and 5-speed settings, it bounces up and down and sways from side to side much like mommy and daddy do. You can connect an iPhone or any other MP3 device to soothe baby to sleep, and it also has four built-in sounds if you don’t have your phone handy. Recline baby to lay flat or sit up and play. Not only is this a cute, cleverly designed state of the art swing, but it’s also affordable!
This 4moms simply chic and intuitive stroller was designed with every mom’s wish in mind. Power folding! You can stop the search for the perfect stroller right now! Don’t worry, it will never close while baby is inside, as it has a sensor to detect when a child is seated inside. As an added bonus, it’s LCD dashboard has a thermometer, speedometer, and trip odometer. It also has two cup holders, a cell phone jack, plenty of storage space, daytime running and pathway lights, four- wheel suspension and built-in generators to charge the stroller while you walk. This is, by far, the most inventive stroller on the market and will have every mom jumping for joy!
Back in the day when I was a baby, these were called playpens. In recent years it seems as though they’ve become a little more politically correct and added some neat accessories to step up the classic design. This pack ‘n play has a convenient diaper changing table that is padded for extra comfort. It can be removed when baby outgrows it. My favorite feature is the removable cuddle cove rocking seat with removable canopy. When my J was just a tiny baby I used this all the time. When we first brought him home from the hospital, the play yard was set up on the main floor of our house while his bassinet was upstairs next to our bed. In the morning and afternoon, I often put him down to nap in the extra plush cuddle cove rocker and was able to pick him up and transport him from one room to the next without disturbing his sleep. As he grew, I was able to move him to the next stage internal bassinet. Added bonus, the removable electronics module has multiple sounds and vibration settings to sooth any baby.
This innovation sleep device uses a recorded human voice to rhythmically soothe a fussy baby. Adopting the technique from the Happiest Baby on the Block book, this device allows you to set a timer that plays a loud, rhythmic shushing noise. This proven highly effective method helps calm a crying baby by breaking a cry session and engaging their natural calming reflex. The rhythmic shushing sound reminds baby of being in their mother’s womb, thus, calming baby. This device is also portable so it can be used on the go. I recommend this amazing product to everyone because it really does work!
Welcome to the world baby Kuerig! This revolutionary new product mixes your baby’s formula bottles with the push of one button. You can choose from 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 oz. bottles. You can store any brand of formula right in the machine and you can use all types of bottles. This just made those middle of the night feedings a little bit easier!
The best investment I ever made was the Baby Shusher. It’s like a switch goes off in his brain and when the sound machine starts, it’s lights out…he’s asleep within 15 minutes tops! I hope you find something here you and your baby love. Happy scanning!
