As a Florida girl, I grew up on the water. Whether it was beach days, boating, or fishing in the Gulf, my family spent hours upon hours all year long on the water – not just in the summer! As an adult, with my own family I still love beach days more than anything- even when it’s 100 degrees outside!

Over the years I’ve picked up a few tricks about how to make a day at the beach more enjoyable. And, it all starts with a well-packed beach bag. Some of my absolute favorite beach essentials include a sturdy and spacious beach bag, a good sand-free towel, a few silicone water-resistant pouches, a sand removal bag, and a good mini speaker for all my favorite Taylor Swift tracks!

40 oz. Stanley Cup

I love my 40 oz. Stanley! I use it every day and bring it everywhere so why not add it to my list of Amazon Must-Have Beach Essentials? This carrier with a strap makes it much easier to haul around. The brutal Florida weather makes the 40 oz. a year-round must-have and I love all the colorful styles to choose from.

Collapsible Beach Cart

Over the years I have had both a beach wagon and a beach cart. Both have similar but different functions. I like this cart because it has a variety of compartments including a cup holder, umbrella holder, and a removable bag. It can be difficult to maneuver in soft sand but so can any of the wagons. I think it comes down to personal preference.

Folding Wagon

This is my current beach wagon and a top Must-Have Beach Essential. With kids, there’s always more stuff to haul, even for a short beach trip. My husband prefers this over the cart and since he’s the one hauling it through the brutal soft sand we stick with this one. I also like the convenient cup holders and it folds up nicely for garage storage.

Lightweight Portable Beach Loungers

I have found that there are usually two different types of beach people. Those who lay or sit on towels and those who lay on chairs. Are you a chair or towel person? I’m definitely a chair person and rarely ever go to the beach without one. Recently, I found these to be a good substitute because it’s tough hauling two or more chairs to the beach on top of everything else I bring.

Sun Bum Travel SPF Pack

Sun Bum is, by far, my favorite sunscreen. The smell alone just screams take me to the beach! I bought this travel kit a while back because the bag was so adorable, I needed it in my beach bag. When I used up the travel-size bottles, I just refilled the bag with new bottles. Don’t forget your lip SPF balm!

Sunscreen Pouch

I always have multiple sunscreen pouches for me, my husband, and my son. To be honest, they use different sunscreen than I do and we also have hair and face sunscreen plus multiple spray bottles for quick re-application. You can never have too much sunscreen.

Beach Shade/Tent

A Beach shade is the most important Must-Have Beach Essential to protect you from the sun’s harsh UV rays. This tent is one of my favorites because it’s lightweight and so easy to set up. I love this design – it’s so pretty and I see it starting to pop up on all the beaches.

Yeti Hopper Backpack Cooler

Coolers are another absolute Amazon Must-Have Beach Essential. Yeti makes an awesome soft-sided backpack cooler that allows you to keep your hands free…to carry more stuff! It’s perfect for a small family of 2 or 3. Or as an add-on cooler for larger families.  The outside is waterproof and it has. a heavy-duty magnetic closure to keep your drinks extra cold. You can easily fit multiple cans and water bottles plus a few sandwiches.

Sand Remover Bag

This little bag is the greatest beach hack ever! If you didn’t know that baby powder removes sand then let me just say, “You’re welcome!” Up until recently, I carried a travel-sized baby powder bottle in my beach bag. A small handful wipes away sand in no time. It’s a must-have for families with kids. Now you can get this little Sandscreen bag on Amazon. Activate it by patting it on your hands and then wipe away the sand! It’s talc-free and reef friendly!

Nano Speaker

This small but loud speaker is just loud enough but not too loud that everyone else on the beach will hear your music. It’s rechargeable and has about 3 hours of play time. A charger and a case are included!

Silicone Pouch

This is my favorite silicone pouch! It’s perfect for the beach and makes my list of Amazob Must-Have Beach Essentials because it’s so versatile. I not only keep it in my beach bag but after the beach, I clean it off and then it goes in my everyday tote bag. I love the color and that it’s waterproof. You can store cash, cards, phone chargers, or sunglasses in it. If you ever have to step away from your beach stuff but don’t want to carry all your stuff, you can grab this

Quick Dry, Sand-Free Towel

I love this quick dry, sand-free beach towel! The striped style reminds me of high-end hotel towels. It’s super lightweight and barely takes up any room in your beach bag. It’s highly absorbent, drier fast, and repels sand with a few shakes. It comes in a variety of colors and has its own storage bag.

Silicone Tray

Silicone is great for the beach because it repels sand and is easily washable without having to worry about rusting. I like that this organizer easily holds my Stanley upright and out of sand. You can keep your phone, snacks, or lunch sand-free!

Snack Organizer

 

This storage container is perfect for the beach when you have kids because you can organize a handful of different snacks. The handles on top make it easy to grab and go and flip off the lid in just seconds. The silicone trays are removable and easily washable. This is also great for car trips, camping, and boating.

Bottle Bash Beach Game

A beach trip isn’t a good beach trip without a fun family game. Bottle Bash has been our favorite for the past 3 summers. This game is great for kids and adults. It’s lightweigh, comes with a travel bag, and it’s under $40. Pro Tip: We added a second frisbee to the game because it van be a little hard for kids to get knock the bottles off.

2 Gal Stanley Jug

This Stanley 2-gallon jug is on my wishlist for our summer beach trip. I love the idea of having ice-cold water easily accessible from the easy pour spout while on the beach. This can also be great for car trips, tailgating, camping, and barbecues.
