If you’re a vegetable or herb gardener, you know that dreaded feeling of having too much leftover and not wanting any of your hard, nurturing work to go to waste. Usually, when this happens I start handing out dozens of tomatoes, excess leafy greens, and basil by the handful. I love plants and flowers and have a lot of them at my house, but Aloe vera plants are definitely my favorite. If you’ve got a little one in preschool or kindergarten through second grade, then you know the struggle with teaching sight words. I’m always trying to come up with new and creative ways to try and reduce the repetitiveness of teaching sight words to my very non-interested 5-year-old.
