This last year has been insane. Last July I got engaged and almost everything since then in my life has been wedding or blog related. The wedding is now less than a month away and I’m just trying to make it there at this point.
Amidst all the crazy wedding stuff and getting ready for the holidays, it’s still so important to slow down and take a minute to think about and appreciate everything I am thankful.
And I certainly have a lot to be thankful for in my life.
I’m not a professional party planner by any means but one thing I sure love is throwing a good “themed” party. Birthdays, showers, and holiday parties are my favorite. One of the things I love most about throwing parties is getting to spend quality time with my friends and family. Oh, and there’s incorporating my love of all things DIY. So, when my younger sister asked me to be her co-maid of honor, not only was I truly honored but I also couldn’t wait to start planning the Bridal Shower.

For the past few months I’ve been diligently planning the details of my younger sister’s bridal shower. She decided on a garden theme waffle brunch with gold accents for a little glitz. My nights have been spent gluing, folding, sewing, cutting, and re-gluing; I’ve got Band-Aids on multiple fingers, broken nails, and glitter everywhere.
