In honor of Earth Day this year, I have compiled a list of tips for eco-friendly pet owners. They’re all simple things we can do to keep our pets and the environment healthy.
Every small action has a ripple effect on the environment so if you have a pet or looking to adopt a pet, here are some tips to reduce some of those effects.
Anyone getting married knows that engagement photos are practically required. Okay, not really, but they are highly encouraged. Most couples use the photos for Save the Dates, wedding website photos, and as a way to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.
My fiancé and I just took our engagement photos. We looked at all kinds of engagement photos for inspiration and we saw that some people had props. Since our photographer said we could do whatever we wanted, I combed the internet for ideas. What I really wanted was a list of prop ideas. So here we are.
*Remember, props are a great way to represent both you and your fiancé together and individually. These props can be something you’re both interested in or something each one of you is interested in. The experience is for you both!

In an effort to save money, the fiancé and I made a big change – we moved in with my parents! Not only are we saving money for the wedding, but we got out of a tiny apartment, and we’re also saving for a new place. Even though there are tons of perks to this move, it’s definitely been a tough a process.
It starts and ends with packing. We had to get a storage unit because we’re essentially living in my parent’s basement. Space is extremely limited and we don’t know how long it will be, which makes it hard to know what to bring and what to store.
Even if you’re not packing to store, just packing to move, these tips will still be helpful.

I always look forward to decorating my house for every holiday, but Easter is one of my favorite. I love the soft undertones that Easter colors bring, the look of shabby-chic fabric bunnies, and warmth of Spring in the air. Decorating my large dining room table is my most favorite. One of my all-time favorite products is Dr. Bronner’s Pure- Castile Soap. It comes in many scents but I use lavender, my favorite, most of the time. Dr. Bronner’s is a company with a mission of environmental and social responsibility. These soaps are certified organic and 100% biodegradable. They’re also made in the U.S.A. Dr. Bronner’s comes in both bar and a concentrated liquid form. The best feature of Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap is that it has SO MANY uses! The label on the bottle says “18 in 1 Hemp Lavender”. It has at least that many uses.
Packing and figuring out what to do with everything I’ve been hoarding the past 4 years is such a pain. The fiancé and I have been moving for what feels like an eternity! It’s been weeks of decluttering and packing! We’ve lived together in our 620 square foot apartment for 4 years, how can we have this much stuff??
My advice to anyone moving – start packing early and start decluttering even earlier. I was so excited to declutter because I thought it would take some of the stress out of moving. The more you get rid of the less you’ll have to physically move and the less “crap” you’ll have to unpack when you get there. Remember that same feeling of “what the heck do I do with this?” before the move is the same after the move.
Doing crafts is always a fun way to connect with children. Crafting, building, drawing and painting brings out their creative side while they learn to explore and challenge their inner artist. I have been listening to podcasts for years and they’re one of my favorite media platforms. The best thing about podcasts is that I can listen while driving, at the gym, getting ready for work, and even while cleaning. I listen to them all the time!
I’m always surprised when friends and family don’t know much about them. Even though they’re still a budding media, there are so many out there. I started with the Nerdist podcast (more on that below), and then I stumbled upon one about one of my favorite shows, Once Upon a Time.
