I’ve had some great feedback from my scavenger hunt games so I decided to make some more! If you’re headed out of town or just driving to the grocery store these Road Trip Scavenger Hunt printables are perfect for your active and observant little ones.

If you’ve read any of my other posts, you know my 3-year-old son is super into cars and trucks. When we’re driving in the car my son is always scoping out every vehicle on the road–from sports cars, trucks, and buses to tow trucks, semis, and utility vehicles! He likes naming each car manufacturer because, of course, he’s memorized all the brand logos! For whatever reason, my 3-year-old is very particular about cars with scratches, dents, missing hubcaps, or flat tires. If he spots one like this, he’s sure to tell us that it needs to go to the mechanic to get fixed right away!
I came up with this Road Trip Scavenger Hunt, not because I get tired of naming every car and truck on the road, but because I thought I’d try diversifying our morning and afternoon commute. These Road Trip Scavenger Hunt printables are great for kids like mine who have an active imagination. They help keep my son off his tablet and actively aware of his surroundings. We talk about what we see beyond just the cars on the road and they get him asking questions.
