If you’ve got a Pokémon lover at home, then you’ve got to check out our new Easter post this week- a DIY Bulbasaur Pokémon Easter Basket.
Themed Easter baskets are one of my favorite “mom projects” as I like to call them. That and themed birthday parties, of course! My 7-year-old (and my husband) are obsessed with collecting Pokémon cards so it seemed fitting that I put together a Pokémon-themed Easter basket complete with this DIY Bulbasaur Pokémon Easter Basket. I also made my husband a smaller similar version so they’ll have matching Easter Baskets!
This week’s post features an easy DIY Bulbasaur Pokémon Easter Basket that you can make for under $15. Check out the supplies needed and the directions below.
Supplies Needed:
Teal Basket
Acrylic Paint Markers
Directions:
Wipe your basket with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or residue.
Using a permanent marker, begin drawing the outline of Bulbasaur’s face, starting with the eyes. This way you won’t smear with your hand as you draw.
Next, use the acrylic markers to fill in the color.
Done!

If you buy the markers that I linked, you’ll have all the colors you need. I only did one coat because otherwise, you might get some minor chipping. If you do decide you need some extra coats, be careful and go slow.

When making this DIY Bulbasaur Pokémon Easter Basket I did use acrylic marker paints on plastic, which is usually not ideal and probably won’t hold up for extended use. Since I use a new basket every year, I knew this didn’t matter to me. Ideally, acrylic paint is not suitable for plastic because it doesn’t adhere well and usually chips off. But because I knew this would be temporary, I did it anyway and it came out great!
