DIY sensory bins and motor development games are some of my favorite ways to help my son explore his 5 senses. They’re great for helping him develop the skills he needs to learn how to use his hands and fingers. I have a closet full of Dollar Tree bins that I’ve turned into fun and interactive sensory bins. This Spider Search- Fine Motor Development Game is a festive way to enjoy the [Read more…]

Halloween is just around the corner, but if you hurry you can still make this DIY Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus Halloween Costume just in time for trick or treating. Most of the materials can be found on Amazon, Walmart, and Dollar Tree.
Originally, my 4 year old had decided, about 4 months ago, that he wanted to be a garbage truck driver (conveniently the same thing he wants to be when he grows up) for Halloween, and I thought I had it made in the shade when [Read more…]
Homemade Slow Cooked Applesauce
Now that it’s Fall, all I hear about is pumpkin spice this and pumpkin spice that. I know I say that every Fall, but all that talk really seems to start earlier and earlier every year. Also, as I’ve said before, my favorite Fall flavor is anything apples and cinnamon. One of the best ways to enjoy the flavor of apples and cinnamon is [Read more…]

A Mom’s Guide to Washing Cloth Diapers
One of the most common questions I got when I decided to cloth diaper my son was, how do you wash them? The second was, where does the poop go? Yes, cloth diapering can get messy (literally) because you’re not just tossing the diaper in the trash or Diaper Genie. But, if you have all the right tools and a clear plan, then cloth diapering can be [Read more…]

Iced Matcha Latte Recipe and Benefits
One of my new morning obsessions is a nice, cold, Iced Matcha Latte. A form of green tea that is essentially in the powdered form. Traditional green tea is made from components of the leaves, which are infused with hot water and then the leaves are discarded. Matcha, on the other hand, is made from the entire leaf, powdered, and then mixed with milk or water. I’ve never been a coffee drinker, but I love getting that caffeine fix from my morning Matcha Latte without the [Read more…]

Chocolate Chip Dessert Hummus
If you’re a raw cookie dough lover, like me, then you will love this Chocolate Chip Dessert Hummus!
I have no shame in admitting my love of raw cookie dough. I’ve been known to eat an entire sheet of Nestle Tollhouse cookie squares—never actually baking them, as intended.
