In case you don’t already know how Ipsy works – it is a monthly makeup subscription service in which you receive 5 makeup products, usually sample size, and from a wide price range – but it only costs you $10 a month! You also receive amazing discounts on the brands and have the opportunity to earn free products as well.
Trying Harry’s Shave Set
I tried Harry’s shave set for men and guess what? Turns out, women can use it too!
It might seem surprising that a blog all about women would be trying a product very clearly marketed towards men, but you might be surprised at how easily a product like this can translate perfectly for women’s use.
We were sent the Truman starter kit which includes the Truman razor, 2 extra blades, a travel blade cover and shave gel. There’s nothing pink or feminine about it and I think that makes me love it even more. It really allows the products to speak for themselves – and they do.
Makeup Empties and Reviews
*This post contains affiliate links*
If you are a blogger or a collector of makeup and beauty products like me, you may know how hard it is to actually finish a beauty product. I am constantly trying new products, I receive products from Ipsy and I change it up because I want to see what else is out there. Often times it’s rare that I find a product I like so much I finish it! It’s also rather rare that I finish the product and want to buy it again.
So today I want to talk about my empties and whether or not I would buy them again.
September Ipsy Review
I am so excited to review this month’s Ipsy bag! I was almost afraid something happened to my bag because I got it so late this month. But I think with all the hurricane commotion here in Florida, it might have been pushed back a little. I don’t know, but I’m happy I finally got it!
If you don’t know what Ipsy is you are seriously missing out! It’s a $10 monthly subscription service where you receive 5 makeup products in a cute makeup bag. The products range from drugstore brands to high-end brands. They are also a decent mix of sample size and full-size products. It’s such a good deal and a great way to try out different products.
So let’s jump into the reviews!
July Ipsy Review
July’s Ipsy bag is so adorable, the design is perfect for this hot summer we’ve been having. It’s exactly how I feel.

Ipsy also offers amazing discounts on the products if you decide to buy them. Ipsy is definitely one of the best makeup subscriptions out there and it’s only $10!
Below is my review on each product I received in this month’s bag:
February Ipsy Bag
This month’s Ipsy bag was interesting, to say the least. I don’t want to give away too much before I review the products so let’s dive right in.
tarte Swamp Queen Review
It was the day after Christmas and Tarte was having a 60% off sale. Our eyes met from across the screen and I just couldn’t say no to Swamp Queen.
I don’t know what exactly inspired me to buy this palette. I’ve never tried a full face palette from Tarte before and I guess it was too cute to pass up! So I was really excited to try the Swamp Queen Palette with Grav3yard Girl palette!
January Ipsy Review
If I had to rate my January Ipsy bag, it would be a 9 out of 10! While I wasn’t expecting to love every product, I was pleasantly surprised that I did, for the most part.
Here’s what I thought of this month’s Ipsy bag:
Simple Sugar Scrubs
Women tend to give their time and attention to everyone and everything but themselves. We’re all so busy! Most of us don’t have the time for all of our basic needs let alone day-long spa visits. Indulge yourself today with one of my simple, at home skin treats.
Sugar scrubs are a simple and easy way to pamper your skin. Not only do they feel luxurious while using them, they make your skin feel soft and smooth afterward. The sugar’s granules act as an exfoliant and slough off dead skin cells. Sugar scrubs are a great moisturizer because sugar is a natural humectant—meaning sugar retains and preserves moisture. The scrub’s honey or oil also make it moisturizing.
These simple sugar scrubs are easy and quick to make at home with only a few ingredients. Make them for yourself or give them as a thoughtful, homemade gift.
November Ipsy Review
My November Ipsy Glam Bag review is here! Before we get into that, I want to remind everyone that it is the holiday season and Ipsy makes a great gift! I pay a monthly subscription fee of $10 every month, but you could pay an annual subscription fee of $120 and give a year’s worth of Ipsy as a gift! You just have to remember to cancel it before it renews on your credit card the following year. If you’re not familiar with exactly what Ipsy is, you can read my August review explaining all about it. Otherwise, you probably already know and that’s why you’re here. So let’s get started.
November Ipsy Glam Bag Review:
Ipsy August Glam Bag Review
Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for makeup. It’s only $10 a month. There are a few other similar subscription boxes but I tried this one and so far I love it! You get 6 products, including the “glam” bag, 4 sample size products, and 1 full-size product. It could be anything ranging from makeup, hair, and skin products. It is all based on a profile you set up for yourself. You choose which brands and products you’re interested in. Usually, everyone’s product selection is a little different.
