I’ve always been one of those people who wash their hands a lot during the day, but now I do it even more. For a while, much like most of the country, I was concerned about running low on hand soap so I started making my own. It’s actually much easier than you might think it would be. This DIY Peppermint Hand Soap is simple to make, super affordable, and it’s free of the harsh ingredients that may be found in most store-bought soaps.

If you’re a DIY queen like myself, you’re going to love this recipe for DIY Peppermint Hand Soap. The peppermint essential oil that I used in this recipe is so fragrant, it not only leaves my hands smelling wonderful but my bathroom as well.
DIY Peppermint Hand Soap Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp. Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap
- 2 tsp. Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 10 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- 10 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
- Water
- Foaming Soap Dispenser(s)

Directions:
- Mix soap and oils in at least a 2 Cup spouted liquid measuring cup.
- Add water to fill so that total volume is 2 Cups (16 oz).
- Stir.
- Pour into (foaming) hand soap dispenser(s).
The Coronavirus pandemic has definitely reminded us all how important it is to wash our hands. Germs, after all, are nothing new and are everywhere! I can still hear my mother’s voice in my head telling me to “wash your hands”. Hopefully, my kids will always hear me telling them the same thing! With soap that smells as good as this DIY Peppermint Hand Soap, it makes it much easier to wash them as often as needed.
