Living in a van for 3 months can definitely change a person. Being home for a week though, I’ve already fallen back into some old habits. I guess some habits never really die. And one of those is my love for shopping!
Being back from a long trip in which you can’t really shop because you have no place to put anything (and can’t realistically afford) makes all the difference. Now we’re home, making adjustments, and changes to the van. So, I can remove some things I really didn’t need or use on the road – thus making room for some new stuff.
There are also some things I have been loving for a while now since being on the road and I just want to share them with you!
What I been Loving Lately:
Come Tomorrow by Dave Matthews Band
- Shrink-wrapped
- Audio CD – Audiobook
- 11/22/2024 (Publication Date) - RCA Records (Publisher)
Y’all haven’t been paying attention if you haven’t noticed how much I love the Dave Matthews Band. They recently released a new album after 6 years! That’s the longest they’ve gone without releasing new music. You could say it’s part of the reason I’m attending 10 DMB shows this summer. This album was definitely worth the wait! I 100% recommend a listen.

Hemlock Grove – Netflix Original
It’s been raining a lot since I got back to Florida and rain always makes me in the mood for something spooky (let’s be real, I’m always in the mood for spooky). I asked my friends for spooky recommendations on Netflix and this one stuck out. It’s like American Gothic meets modern Pennsylvania. Also, Bill Skarsgard. I watched the first few episodes and I’m intrigued because I have no idea what’s going on but it’s definitely spooky. It kind of feels like a cross between American Horror Story and True Blood.

Women’s Rowan Small Tote Handbag – Universal Thread
I have been on the search for a new handbag/purse for months. I’ve been waiting until I saw exactly what I wanted and this is it. It’s brown so it matches pretty much everything I wear but it comes in a bunch of colors. It’s inexpensive but sturdy, and it’s big enough for a water bottle and snacks! I was just standing in the store describing what I would like to my mom, and she picked up this bag and it was like magic – love at first sight.

I finally got a new pair of shoes that I’m hoping will be good for all the walking I plan on doing when we get out west. My feet are always giving me trouble so I feel like I’ve been on the search for the right shoes forever. I’m really excited about these shoes and they seem great but right now, only time will tell.
Active-wear
I have been resisting the active-wear trend that’s been happening recently, but I’ve come to the realization that I actually need these kinds of clothes. I’m outside a lot on the road so I need the proper clothes. It’s a little embarrassing when I’m on the trail wearing a dress and spanks because it is the most comfortable thing I own but definitely not right for outdoor activities. So I caved and found some really cute stuff at Kohls.

Since being back I’m also very excited to have my wardrobe back! I missed so many of my clothes. I probably wore the same 3-4 outfits/dresses every day on the road. I’ll be home for a few more weeks so I’m trying to wear only things I haven’t seen in a while! It’s also crazy to have to wear sweaters again now that I’m inside all the time and everywhere has an air conditioning.

This is the 4th installment in the Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas and I’ve been obsessed with this series for over a year. This book came out a few months ago, and I’m finally able to catch up on it! It’s a twist on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale with war politics, fairies, and romance.
Bolthouse Farms Mocha Cappuccino
This is an obsession that started on the road. I’ve never been a coffee drinker but I saw this and thought I’d give it chance over my usual chai tea late. I’ve been in love with it ever since. I’ll usually buy the big bottle in the cold section at the grocery store and pour it over ice.
Natural Life Tumbler
This is one of my favorite new things I’ve bought on the road. I got it in the Yankee Candle Village in Massachusettes and I love it! It’s one of my favorite lyrics from John Denver – I walked down the aisle to that song so I’m really excited about this tumbler.

Christina is a twenty-something living with her beagle, Mash, and husband, Nate in their van. She loves traveling, shopping, art, and photography. She’s also a vegetarian, pop-culture enthusiast, book-lover, and Dave Matthews Band fanatic. Catch her somewhere around the country in a converted camper van or at home in Florida for a visit.
All the products look awesome!
Super cute tote. I haven’t heard of that active-wear line before. I need to check that out.
I love that bag from Target! A big bag that cute and fits all of your necessities, and its inexpensive, you can’t beat that! I’m also interested in watching that spooky movie on Netflix. I’m always looking for a good Netflix show! And I wouldn’t mind trying out some of the Fila workout gear!!!! Those clothes are so cute!
