Valentine’s Day is traditionally known as a holiday for couples in love. But it doesn’t have to be. Expensive gifts, fancy clothes, and high dollar wine don’t have to be all that Valentine’s Day is about.
I still remember getting Valentine’s Day gifts as a kid from my mom and dad. Usually, they were small boxes of chocolate and sometimes even money, but it felt like the best thing in the world.
Fast forward to life as an adult—we are conditioned to think Valentine’s Day is more about the stuff. Especially when you’re in a relationship.
Since having my son I’ve realized that Valentine’s Day can also be about having fun and celebrating love- not just between couples but also between your children, friends, siblings, and even parents.
You don’t have to spend every last dollar bill in your wallet to get someone a thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift. Check out my Valentine’s Day Fun Finds Under $30 below to find something fun to give the special person in your life.

Hi! I’m Meagan and I’m a 41 year old mom of a high energy almost 9 year old, happily navigating my way through the little boy years. I’ve been married for 14 years. I met my husband over 20 years ago in high school; we got married 10 years later after graduating from the University of South Florida. I currently help run a family business with my parents while blogging about my life and love of DIY projects!
When I’m not at a kids sports game, I enjoy spending time with my family on a beach anywhere. I also love decorating and organizing, fun DIY projects, bargain shopping, and eating out or in! I also love Barbecue anything and a good show or movie on Netflix.

So cute!! I love that hair pin! I totally agree with you, Valentines ends up getting pushes as a couple’s holiday, and ends up being so commercialized. Me and my husband actually celebrate the day after, just because chocolate is on sale and restaurants aren’t as crowded…
I think I’m going to try that this year haha
Love anything with hearts on it, cute gift ideas!
