As Florida winters go, it’s been a cold one this year, and the past few days have definitely been a bit chilly. When it’s cold outside I need the three S’s: sweaters, scarves, and soup. Of course, I usually need these things year round because even when it’s very hot outside, my house and office tend to have the air conditioner turned down so low that I’m always cold no matter what. Easy Broccoli Soup is perfect whether it’s cold outside or just cold inside.
Questions to Ask When Choosing a Wedding Venue
I recently got married and I could not have picked a better venue. It was absolutely perfect for me and my husband. It totally checked all of our boxes because we knew exactly what we wanted. It’s funny because some friends of ours got married about 5 weeks after us in one of the venues we looked at and almost booked. And even though they are both farm venues, they were completely different feels. That’s why it’s important to ask yourself what you really want when choosing a wedding venue. In our case, we knew we wanted something outdoors and rustic but not too fancy or too country.
So ask yourself: What do you really want?
January Ipsy Review
If I had to rate my January Ipsy bag, it would be a 9 out of 10! While I wasn’t expecting to love every product, I was pleasantly surprised that I did, for the most part.
Here’s what I thought of this month’s Ipsy bag:
Christmas Cactus Care
People often give and receive plants as holiday or hostess gifts this time of year. One of the most popular is the Christmas cactus. Normally at holiday time they are healthy and in full and beautiful bloom. This plant can live many years and bloom again seasonally with the right care.
Advent Calendars for Teenage Girls
Waiting for Christmas morning to come is almost as exciting as Christmas morning itself! This is especially true when you have small children at home, but the excitement seems to fade a bit with teenagers. They don’t always get as excited over the decorating, the baking, and the crafting.
One way to keep Christmas excitement alive for teenagers is by using an advent calendar.
5 Favorite Non-Traditional Holiday Movies
As Thanksgiving and Christmas, or whichever holiday you celebrate approaches, we’re all getting into the holiday spirit! I still have my fall décor out, but I’m thinking I might start early with the Christmas decorations. I just want to enjoy my pumpkins a little longer! One thing some of us like to do to get into the spirit is watching holiday movies!
There are, of course, the classics – A Christmas Story, It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, Love Actually and the list goes on and on. My favorite types of holiday movies are usually of the more non-traditional variety. Don’t get me wrong, there is always a place in my heart for Home Alone and The Santa Clause, BUT I can’t help but love these few others.
