Last week I shared with you how I created J’s nursery. As promised, I will also share my great nursery finds- from the curtains to trash can. Some of the items may no longer be available, but hopefully, you’ll still find something here that will inspire you to create your perfect nursery.

WALLS
When choosing the wall color, I was torn between blues. Who knew there were so many shades of blue? After standing in the Home Depot paint section for what felt like 30 minutes or so, I finally decided on a darker shade than originally planned. Behr’s Flint Smoke (from Home Depot) is actually a bluish gray so be careful if you really just want blue. Maybe try a sample on the wall first, if you have the time. It turned out to be perfect! When the natural light hits it, it feels a little softer, but still very masculine for little J.
My inspiration and focal point of the nursery, the Sanibel-Captiva nautical chart, was purchased online from frugalnavigator.com. The large white frame is from Hobby Lobby.
Below are some of the items surrounding the map and other wall art from J’s nursery:
*Round rope mirror -Michaels.
*Be Brave Little One and You Are Our Greatest Adventure wooden artwork- Etsy. Vintage looking frames with family photos- Antique stores & TJ Maxx.
*Wooden blue whale- Target.
*Wooden octopus-Target.
*Sailboat blueprint-Ebay.
*White frame for blueprint- Hobby Lobby.
*Wooden ship wheel- Marshalls.
*White and blue oar-Antique store.
*Sailboat coat rack-Home Goods.

My homage to my in-laws, the Army vs. Navy football posters, was taken from programs I purchased online from asgardpress.com. Then I put the posters in antique looking wooden frames from Hobby Lobby.
FURNITURE:
I chose the DaVinci Jenny Lind crib because it has a vintage feel with its spinal post design. It was purchased (here) from Amazon by my mom as a baby shower gift. I opted for the white finish, but it’s also available in cherry and black. I recommend assembling it with the optional wheels (even on carpet) because it makes for much easier sheet changing. The wheels allow you to move the crib away from the wall and get to all sides.
The beautiful and so comfortable grey upholstered rocker was a gift from Nana. She bought it from Target. Next to the rocker I repurposed a barstool (Target) as a side table and placed a library lamp (Ikea) on it.
For J’s closet I bought two 6-cube storage units from Target (you can buy them here) and filled them with tons of books and cute knick-knacks. You can check out my post on closet organization here. I found the white ladder bookshelf on Amazon here; however, I’ve also seen these at many other stores including Target and Wayfair.
Below is a list of the items I placed on the bookshelf and where I purchased them:
*Mustang metal sign (Grandpa’s Favorite) – Hobby Lobby.
*Ships wheel clock- Home Goods.
*Wooden ship-Hobby Lobby.
*Resin baseball and football statues-Hobby Lobby.
*Resin dachshund bookends- Hobby Lobby.
*FORD TRUCK ROAD metal sign- Hobby Lobby (My husband wants to trade this in for a Chevy sign, since he now owns a Chevy truck).
*Red Plane-Hobby Lobby.
*Green truck-Hobby Lobby.
*Ratan storage baskets- Threshold brand, Target.
OTHER FURNITURE:
*The dresser/changing table -Ikea (purchase it here or at your local Ikea).
*Ottoman – Target.
*Wooden bench (in front of window)-local antique store.
*Stuffed animals (sitting on bench) -gifts from Nana.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:
*Navy blue whale blanket – gift from my mom (J’s Baba).
*Nautical map pillow- gift from Baba.
*Whale pillow – Home Goods.
*Solar system mobile – Pottery Barn Kids.
*J’s nautical wall letters above crib- handmade by mom.
*Vintage wooden rocking horse- neighborhood garage sale…only $5!
*White and gray chevron rug – Urban Outfitters.
*Faux fur rug – Marshalls.
*Woven curtains in navy blue & wooden rod- both great Target finds. The curtains are Nate Berkus brand.
*Rope curtain tieback- handmade by mom.
*3 tier organizational stand (on dresser)- Hobby Lobby (also available at Pottery Barn).
The door pillow (a must have item for those with husbands who slam doors) is from Amazon (buy it here). And last but not least, the stainless and white pedal trash can…you guessed it…Target!
