Say goodbye to dry, cracked lips and hello to smooth, shiny, and oh so kissable lips with this simple, do it yourself peppermint Lip Scrub. With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, a few short applications will transform your smoochers just in time for this lip-smacking holiday.
When my lips are dry and cracked, the last thing I want is my lipstick looking and feeling clumpy on my lips. It doesn’t scream come and kiss me! It screams come and help me!
If you’re like me and many other women who suffer from dry and cracked lips all year round (not just in the winter), you will love this simple, do it yourself peppermint Lip Scrub. It’s sure to give you smooth, beautiful lips in less than 7 days.
Use this scrub twice a day for 7 days. Follow up with an application of your favorite lip balm (my favorite are the EOS lip balm balls) and see your dry lips transform into smooth and shiny smoochers =)
Beware-If you stop using this scrub, your lips will, unfortunately, return to their previous dried out state, so if you prefer long term smooth and kissable lips then be sure to continue this ritual as necessary. Happy scrubbing!
What you need:
-1/4 cup white sugar
-4 Tsp. coconut oil
-1/4 Tsp. peppermint extract
-1/2 Tsp. honey
-1/4 Tsp/ liquid Stevia
-Mini mason jar or airtight container (I picked mine up at Michaels Craft Store. You can also find jars at Walmart and Hobby Lobby.)
*The liquid Stevia is optional. I used it to cut the smell of alcohol from the peppermint extract.
Directions
Mix all the above ingredients together with a fork. Store Lip Scrub in an airtight container. Use a small amount to gently rub onto your lips in the morning and at night (my ritual is to apply scrub after brushing my teeth.) Wipe off with water and clean cloth. Apply lip balm.
