I’m so excited about this bag because I did something with it I haven’t done since I first signed up: I didn’t check the preview. So when I opened this month’s bag I had no idea what to expect.
So let’s get into the review of how everything holds up!
theBalm Cosmetics
theBalm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in Willkommen or Kuwakaribisha
$39 for the Palette at theBalm.com
I received the shade Kuwakaribisha which is a lighter shade almost like a highlighter. I’m almost embarrassed to say I’ve been using it like a highlighter when it’s actually more of an eye shadow. (To be fair, it does say luminizer on the package.) No wonder it’s not a great highlighter. It really is beautiful though, so I think I’ll stick with it as a shadow.
FORMULA 10.0.6
Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask
$6.99 at Target
I was a little let down when I first saw this. I just received a mask in my last bag – I mean, how many masks do I need? Well, I actually loved this when I tried it. It was refreshing, it smells good, it didn’t dry out my skin, and it just felt amazing – kind of cooling when I put it on. I love it.
SLMissGlam
T35 Precise Blending Brush
I always love a makeup brush but I love a cruelty-free makeup brush even more! It’s so cute with little green jewels on the hilt. The brush sets are called FairyTale Glam sets and they are SO CUTE. And they work great too!

AURORA
Pro Cover Up Concealer in Pale Ecru, Balmy Beige, or Caramel Syrup
$8.00 at Aurora Cosmetics
I was so excited to try a concealer from Ipsy because they never send me skin products like this. Unfortunately, I think it stayed in the mailbox too long because the consistency is a little tacky. It applies smooth and smells amazing. But when blending, it gets a little tacky. I like it though, I’d definitely be willing to try it before it sits in the heat too long. The shade is a perfect highlighter/contour for my skin and it’s cruelty-free! I even used it as an eye primer and that worked too. So definitely not a complete loss.
Hikari Cosmetics
Shimmer Bronzer in Flush
$17 at Hikari Cosmetics
I was very intrigued to try this product. I don’t normally like a blush/bronzer quad because I don’t love a shimmer bronzer. I started out using only a blush in this quad but that limited me to one color that I won’t wear often. So instead I just blended all four together in a swirl of my brush and used that for bronzer/brush. I actually really love it, the application and the look. Now, when I don’t want to spend too much time contouring this is PERFECT. I think this product won the bag.

Overall, this bag was pretty awesome. The bag itself is super adorable and all the products were great too. I’m happy with this month’s products.

I’ve got the concealer too and I too, think it’s a bit tacky. I find that it’s really great for the under eye region : it hides the tiredness really well and gives some pop to the eye. But on every other parts of my face, the texture is absolutely not right, almost a bit flaky. I’d recommend it only for the eyes, not the face. 🙂

You’re definitely right about that concealer. It does not work anywhere else on the face. I’ll keep trying it but I usually don’t wear a concealer under my eyes. I find it makes my face too oily.
