Summer has arrived, and it’s the perfect time to foster a love of reading in your child. I’ve assembled The 2024 Ultimate Summer Reading List for Kids Ages 6-10. It features a variety of excellent reads. From engaging chapter books to entertaining graphic novels suitable for their age, this list is filled with fantastic options!
Books have always been a wonderful way to nurture the imagination in young readers. When children find books they relate to, they will become engrossed in reading for hours. It’s an excellent way to build confidence, expand vocabulary, and encourage growth as a young reader.
If you want to keep your child exploring books throughout the summer, try some of the books from our Summer Reading List. The best thing about all of these books is that they’re all a part of a series, which means if your child discovers one that they really love, they’ll be more apt to want to read the next if not the entire series!
This list incorporates some familiar favorites as well as some new publications that you may not have even seen yet! So, let us get to the list.
This post is a 2024 Summer Reading List of the best books for kids ages 6 to 10.

Barnes & Noble is offering a fun Summer Reading challenge for all young readers grades 1-6. It’s called Espace Into Summer Reading and it challenges kids to read any 8 books this summer and then write them in this reading journal. First, they read a book. Next, they need to record the title and author and then explain what their favorite part is and why. Lastly, once the journal is complete bring it to a Barnes & Noble between July 1 and August 31 2024. A completed journal can earn your child a free book!

When I’m not at a kids sports game, I enjoy spending time with my family on a beach anywhere. I also love decorating and organizing, fun DIY projects, bargain shopping, and eating out or in! I also love Barbecue anything and a good show or movie on Netflix.
