How to Make Your Peace Out Shirt Using a Cricut
Step 1: Choose the Shirt
Select a shirt in your grad’s favorite color. Tie-dye adds a fun retro vibe, while solid colors make the design stand out more clearly.
Step 2: Download our Peace Out SVG file

Step 3: Cut and Prepare the Design
If you’re using HTV: Load your design into your cutting machine, making sure to mirror it before cutting.
If you’re using iron-on transfer paper: Print your design on the transfer paper following the instructions provided (usually in reverse).
Step 4: Apply the Design
Heat your iron or press according to the vinyl or transfer instructions.
Position the design on the shirt.
The easiest way to make sure you’re applying the design in the center of the shirt is to fold the shirt in half, long way. Using the iron, apply light heat to crease the shirt (this shows you the center). Then measure or estimate about 5″ down from the collar. This is where you’ll place your design.
Place parchment paper over the design and press the iron down firmly for the recommended time.
Let it cool before peeling away the backing.
Final Touches
Use fabric markers or paint to add the graduate’s name, class year, school name, or even space for classmates to sign. Glow-in-the-dark markers or glitter paint can make it extra fun!
To add some fun variations, try adding fringe to the bottom for a boho look or puffy paint for added texture. If you’re feeling extra creative, make matching family shirts for graduation day photos!
Graduation is a big deal—why not send your grad off in style? A DIY “Peace Out” shirt is more than just cute; it’s a personalized way to celebrate their hard work and excitement for the future. Plus, it’s a budget-friendly alternative to store-bought shirts and way more meaningful.
