As you begin to read this you might be thinking what else, besides clothes, goes in a nursery closet. Well, when you have an overload of baby items including clothes, bath items, shoes, diapers, wipes, carriers, bags, more clothes, and toys, you’re gonna need to make use of all available space. This includes the closet! Read on to see all my great nursery closet finds!
From the beginning, I knew I wanted to use cubes in J’s closet to organize all the miscellaneous items that don’t go in a dresser. I used two sets of 6 cube organizers and you can find mine here from Target. I have also seen these at Ikea and on Amazon.
Utilizing cube storage is where an obsession with bins comes in handy. You can read here about my post on closet organization. On the top shelf of the closet (above the clothes) I have 6 green storage bins from Target (find them here). In these bins, I store clothes that J will grow into.
On the bottom shelf of the cubes, I have 6 canvas bins from Home Goods. You can buy these bins anywhere, but if you want to find a unique or cute print/pattern at a good price, then check out places like TJ Maxx or Home Goods.
In these bins, I store stuff like extra wipes, diapers, bath items, shoes, hangers, and baby carriers.
In my quest to make sure all the canvas bins were matching, my sister and I scowered every Home Goods in a 50-mile radius. Even then we couldn’t find 6 matching bins so I settled for two different prints and got 3 of each.
If you don’t have time to shop around, then check out online stores like The Land of Nod and Wayfair. Both have really great children’s furniture and storage finds. Beware…you will spend a bit more money at these online stores.
